I mean, you knew I was gonna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And before we start, do not think I\u2019ve just gone and cranked out some Bagging On Another Creative\u2019s Hard Work post, because it couldn\u2019t be less true. Nothing bad has happened here. The art looks good, the copy on the website is cute and fun<\/a>, and it\u2019s clear that the creative team had a good time doing it. And if I happen to think the pomp and circumstance surrounding the whole thing might be a leetle<\/em> bit silly, I mean\u2026 look at our industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyway, Mars, Inc., decided they needed to keep up with a \u201cmore dynamic, progressive world<\/a>,\u201d and so, with great fanfare, they rolled out some redesigns and reconceptions, and it was probably more the fanfare than the actual updates that made me think:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My official opinion on the M&Ms updates:
– Um, why?
– I love me some Stan Smiths, but I just don't think an inveterate gogo boot-wearer goes straight to sneakers.
– If you no longer want to have sex with any of the M&Ms, there's a LOT to unpack there.
