The Client: o2ideas, the agency of my heart

The Challenge: Honor the 80th birthday of advertising luminary and Civil Rights figure—and my former boss—Shelley Stewart with more than just a cake and a card.

The Solution: To honor the extraordinary life of an extraordinary man, we created an expansive campaign around his birthday—“80 Years in His Own Words.” The centerpiece of the campaign was a site highlighting his eight extremely storied decades, along with video greetings. The site earned a gold trophy from the 2015 Birmingham ADDYs and, more importantly, a lot of positive response from Shelley's friends and loved ones.
